2024-25 Workshops at the Weitzman on Teaching with Primary Sources
The Philadelphia Writing Project and Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History invite 3rd -12th grade teachers and university faculty to explore the museum and primary sources as they consider how to teach labor history in America.
This fall 2024 workshop is part of a series of professional development offerings designed by PhilWP teacher consultants, who have been creating curriculum materials and professional development to support civically engaged argument writing in K-12 classrooms. This work is supported by a Teaching with Primary Sources grant from the Library of Congress.
Participating teachers will receive:
FREE after-hours museum admission
Information about scheduling a FREE field trip opportunity for students
FREE museum educator membership, including 10% gift shop discount
Text set for supporting civic argument writing about labor
Access to digitized primary sources from the Weitzman's collections
